Founder, Amaka MedArt

Amaka Agulue

Currently a family therapist at the New York Foundling. Assisting at-risk families, primarily in the foster care system improving their communication skills Graduated from Clayton State University with a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology. Kickstarted her mental health profession in the heart of New York, growing a deep understanding of mental health as a profession but also growing a passion for mental health advocacy. Quickly became fascinated by the depths of human connection and intrigued by its connection to behavior, emotion, and mankind’s resilience, which led to the birth of her own health and wellness movement – Amaka MedArt. Amaka Agulue managed to create her own mediative art workshops and classes that take mediation one step further than traditional practices. She’s also invested in delivering education through her Instagram page and other social media platforms to help people explore accessible relaxation techniques, quell that inner critic, and let their creativity flow to unprecedented areas.
